Dr LJ Grobler
Position and Company: Professor within the Faculty of Engineering, North West University, Potchefstroom, South Africa and Director of CFAM Technologies (Pty)Ltd 

History: He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) and a Registered Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng).  
  • He joined the North-West University in 1996 as associate professor, was promoted to full-professor in 2006 and was the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering between 2012 and 2017.
  • He started ExtruAfrica in 2010 with the aim to educate and create awareness on applications of extrusion in Africa
  • He authored and co-authored more than 40 local and international articles.
  • In 2001 he started training the Certified Energy Management Professional Course (CEM) under licensing agreement of the Association of Energy Engineers in the USA
  • In 2010 Prof LJ Grobler received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual eta Awards.
  • In 2016 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Association of Energy Engineers, Atlanta, USA.​ Read more

Mr Danie Vorster​
Position and Company: Managing Director of CFAM Technologies (Pty)Ltd and Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, North West University, Potchefstroom, South Africa

History:  Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) Potchefstroom University for CHE. Field Of Study Mechanical Engineering
  • In 1998 he and LJ Grobler started to develop their own extruder.  The first extruder was completed in 2000 and the sold their first extruder in 2003.  CFAM technologies was established in 2007 as a spin-off company of the North-West University.
  • CFAM Technologies develop and manufacture world class twin screw food extruders and related processing equipment. Built in Africa for Africa
  • 2002-2008 he was the workshop manager at PU for CHE/NWU
